Representative Role OverviewA leading middle-market investment bank may seek an Investment Banking Analyst II to support deal execution, advanced financial modeling, client presentations, and due diligence, while taking on greater ownership of workstreams and contributing to more complex transactions. These positions are ideal for candidates who have prior analyst experience and are ready to expand their scope and influence on deals.
Key ResponsibilitiesBuild, maintain, and stress-test financial models (3-statement, DCF, LBO, accretion/dilution) to support transactions and client recommendations
Conduct in-depth industry research, benchmarking, and valuation analyses
Support live M&A, capital markets, and restructuring engagements with increased autonomy
Prepare pitch books, investment memoranda, and client presentations with higher-level analytical insights
Lead portions of due diligence, data room management, and transaction execution under supervision of senior bankers
Collaborate with senior bankers and associates on client strategy, workflow coordination, and deal execution
Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on modeling, analysis, and workflow processes
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related discipline
Strong financial modeling and valuation skills with the ability to work independently on complex models
Excellent analytical, quantitative, and communication abilities
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Prior experience as an Investment Banking Analyst or similar role is strongly preferred
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and common financial research tools (e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ, FactSet)
